Cache Overview

Cache is temporary storage of Web pages on your hard disk. The first time you view a page, the page is retrieved from the Web. If you request this same page again, the browser checks to see if this page is available in cache. For example, if you use the Back button to re-display a page, cache can display the page more quickly than retrieving the page from the Web a second time. For LibraryCom use, the back button should not be used when navigating. Use the LibraryCom links and tabs to navigate the site because referring back to pages in cache can bring up previously edited or modified records.

Note before removing cookies. - If you access other web sites without signing in, you will also be clearing the cache and cookies for those sites. Please makes sure you have your user account information, such as usernames and passwords, for LibraryCom as well as other sites, stored in a safe location.
